Errol Holloman also known as Beat Rocker was a beatboxer from Cleveland, Ohio. He was the first beatbox champion of the world.
In November 1985 at the New Music Seminar hosted by Tommy Boy Records in NYC, he won the Human Beatbox Championship of the World.
In 1991 he survived a suicide attempt, where he shot myself in the head. According to the surgeons he only had a 20% chance to live. The bullet is still lodged in his brain.
His manager was Kermit Henderson.
Beatboxing
Holloman is the inventor of the Errol(-throat)-tap, which was later picked up and recorded by Biz Markie in the track "One Two".
