When several click sounds are produced in a row in a very short time they are refered to as clickrolls.
Clicks and clickrolls are usually place between kicks and snares and are therfore a versatile alternative to common hihats.
Click sounds are not limited to beatboxing, but have already been used as click consonants in several African languages.
Doug E Fresh was the first artist to frequently integrate these sounds into beatboxing.
