The group was founded by Tilo Beckmann in 2008 and can be considered the first professional a cappella group in Germany. From the beginning, it was focused on authentic pop music without instruments with influences from soul and R'n'B.<br />

The name "Sonic Suite" was chosen for the band in 2009. At first Sonic Suite mainly covered well-known pieces before they included numerous original compositions into their program.<br />

In 2012 Sonic Suite was the supporting act on DJ BoBo's "Dancing Las Vegas" tour.<br />
